Code Enforcement

The purpose of code enforcement is to work with residents and businesses to preserve and maintain the livability, values and integrity of our neighborhoods. The Code Enforcement Officer, Dusty Turner, responds to complaints from the public to ensure that we promote a safe, healthy and attractive community.

Reporting Violations

To report a violation, call (509) 758-2331.

The City recognizes that some residents may feel uncomfortable providing their name and phone number when reporting a possible violation. We do not offer the name of the complaining party to those who are notified of violations. In order for us to investigate your complaint, we need the address of where the violation occurs, the nature of the complaint and whether it can be seen from the street or alley.

Please understand that not all complaints the City receives are in violation of any code, and therefore we may not be able to resolve every situation to the satisfaction of the reporting party.
